Install and Setup on PC or Laptop
- Open your web browser and go to the following web site:
Download Glip Here
- Click the Download button under “Download desktop app”
- In Firefox, you may be prompted to click Save File
- In Chrome, it shouldn’t ask, but if it does, click Save
- In Edge, it should just start downloading at the bottom of the screen
- You need to run the Program now
- In Firefox, Click the Blue Arrow at the top right of the screen, and then click the file you want to run
- In Chrome and Edge, click the file at the bottom of the screen
- Let it do its thing
- It will now come up, and ask for your email, go ahead and type that in, and hit Next
- Type in your password, and hit Sign In
(IF YOU DO NOT KNOW YOUR PASSWORD, FOLLOW THE STEPS BELOW FIRST!) - From here, you can make calls, message other Ringcentral users, start meetings (up to four participants), check your voicemail, recieve faxes, and even listen to phone calls.
IF YOU DO NOT KNOW YOUR RINGCENTRAL INFORMATION, DO THIS!
- Open your web browser and go to the following web site:
RingCentral Website - Click Login close to the top right of the page
- Click RingCentral App
- On the next page, it will ask you for your email, type it in
- Hit Next
- Below the Back and Sign In buttons, click Forgot Password?
- Your email should already be there, if not, just fill it in, and hit Reset
- It will now send you a confirmation email
- Click the Reset Your Password link in the email
- It will now take you to a page to set up your new password
- You are now ready to download the app
Install and Setup on Mobile Devices
Apple iOS Devices:
- Launch the App Store on your iOS device
- Search for RingCentral Phone
Note: There are several RingCentral apps, make sure to look for Phone - Tap Get > Install > Open
- Continue to the “Logging In” section below
Android Devices:
- Launce the Google Play Store on your Android device
- Search for RingCentral Phone
Note: There are several RingCentral apps, make sure to look for Phone - Tap Install > Open
- In the App Permissions window, tap Allow
- Continue to the “Logging In” section below
Logging In
- Launch the RingCentral Phone application
- Tap the flag to make sure your country is set to USA
- Enter your RingCentral Direct Phone Number and Password
- Tap Sign In
If you do not know your password, tap the Forgot Password? link and follow the instructions
Set Up Ring Preferences
- From your PC or laptop, open a web browser and go to:
https://login.ringcentral.com - Log in using your direct phone number and password
If you do not know your password, tap the Forgot Password? link and follow the instructions - Click on the Settings tab near the top of the page
- Open Call Handling & Forwarding
- Make sure your Desktop & Mobile Apps, desk phone and mobile phone number are accurate, and the Active slider is On for each one
Glip Instant Messaging
To access Glip from directly within your web browser on a laptop or PC, log into:
After logging in, simply click the plus button next to Direct Messages, search for the person you want to message, and click Continue to start a chat.
Glip applications are also available to install on your PC or laptop, and on your mobile device.
Windows
- If your computer is 64-Bit, download the RingCentral app from here:
https://downloads.ringcentral.com/glip/rc/20.2.1/x64/RingCentral-20.2.1-x64.exe - If your computer is 32-Bit, download the RingCentral app from here:
https://downloads.ringcentral.com/glip/rc/20.2.1/ia32/RingCentral-20.2.1-ia32.exe - Double click the exe, Windows Installer will walk you through the installation
- After installation is complete the RingCentral’s app icon should be in your system tray, open the app and log in using your direct phone number and password
Mac
- Download the app from here:
https://downloads.ringcentral.com/glip/rc/20.2.1/mac/RingCentral-20.2.1.dmg - Double click the dmg file, Installer will walk you through the installation
- After installation is complete the RingCentral’s app icon should be on your dock,open the app and log in using your direct phone number and password

- Log in using your direct phone number and password
