This guide will serve to instruct users on how to setup an Apple Device that belongs to Bennett International Group. This guide will go over the initial setup, inventory software installs, and email integration.
Setup: The initial setup for an apple device is a series of prompts that ask you which settings you would like for your phone while also providing instructions and descriptions for each setting it is showing you.
- The first screen you will see will display “Hello” in different languages. Merely tap on the screen to move onto the next section.
- Language Selection: By default, we always choose English as this setting can be changed later on from the settings menu.
- Country or Region: United States.
- Quick Start: If your previous phone is running iOS 11 or later, you may bring the old and new phone together to transfer the Apple ID to the new phone. You can find your iPhone version by going to: Settings -> General -> About
- Wi-Fi: The default Wi-Fi for Bennett Owned Phones is the BIG network. Only some members of the IT Department know the password and only they are allowed to enter the password. Please call tech support at 7566. It is recommended that the phone be added to a Wi-Fi network as some apps will not download or update without being connected by Wi-Fi.
- Data & Privacy:

- Bennett Phone Setup: Use the Default Code to be changed after setup.
- Other Phone: Set desired passcode.
- Apps & Data: Restore from iCloud Backup.

- Office Employee:
- Bennett Owned Phone: The Apple ID account will match the users Bennet email address which will display as follows:
- Birthday: Set the Birthdate to January 1st, 1974.
- Name: Set to the First and Last Name of the User.
- Email:
- Bennett Owned Phone: User’s Bennett Email.
- User Owned Phone: User’s Personal Email.

iTunes Setup: If you are a new user, signing up for iTunes is simple, but it requires an email address and password. It is important to note that an Apple ID and iTunes account are two separate things even though they may use the same email address.
- Navigate to the App Store Icon:

- Allow “App Store” to access your location…:
- Sign In to iTunes Store:
- Bennett Employee: Use their Zimbra email address.
- Non-Employee: User’s Preferred Email

- Complete your Apple ID:
- Press the switch next to ‘Agree to Terms and Conditions’ until it turns green then hit Next.
- Bennett Owned Phone: Enter the information as follows:

Email: Email using the mail app requires some setups in the settings menu. Overall we are setting up for three different account types called the Mail, CalDAV, and CardDAV. Mail is your email server, CalDAV is your calendars, and CarDAV is your contacts.
- Navigate to the ‘Settings’ app.
- Navigate to ‘Passwords and Account.’
- Select ‘Add New Account.’
- Select ‘’
- Select ‘Add Mail Account.’
- Enter the account information for the email you are wishing to setup.
- You will then be brought to a screen with ‘Outgoing’ and ‘Incoming’ Servers that will require the below information.
- Hostname: Zimbra.bennettig.com
- Email Username (The first part of your email before the ‘@’)
- Users with ‘Bosscrane.com or Acedoran.com will enter their full address.
- Password for the Email Account.
- You will hit done and if you get all checkmarks and no pop-up window.
- Now, go back to ‘Add New Account.’
- Select ‘Add CardDAV Account.’
- You will enter the above information from (7) then hit ‘Next’
- Once again, all checkmarks mean it is configured correctly.
- Now, go back to ‘Add New Account.’
- Select ‘Add CalDAV Account.’
- You will enter the above information from (7) then hit ‘Next’

Two-Factor Email: Two-Factor Authentication helps keep users safe in an online world. Zimbra offers two factor authentications that Tech Support will setup with Duo mobile. For users with two-factor there are application codes that allow you to use mobile devices like iPhones.
- Open Zimbra and log in to the email you wish to setup on the phone.
- Navigate to ‘Preferences.’
- Navigate to ‘’
- Look for the section under ‘Primary Account Settings’ and enable ‘Two-Step Authentication.’
- Once enabled, click on ‘Add Application Code.’
- You will give a name for the device you are putting this passcode on like ‘Samsung’ of ‘iPhone’ then hit 'Next.'
- A code will be generated and shown to you. Save this code and enter it for all instances of where you would place your password in the above section.
